Terms of Service & Data Processing Agreement
When you start a trial or subscription of Insight you will be required to read and accept our Terms of Service and Data Processing Agreement.
You can find a copy of our Terms of Service and our Data Processing Agreement at the bottom of this article.
We've updated our Terms of Service to make them clearer, more up to date, and better aligned with how Insight is used today. Over time, more customers have asked for a separate data processing agreement, and more organisations now use Insight at trust level across multiple academies. We've therefore refreshed the wording, introduced a standalone DPA, and updated the terms so they better reflect our current services, support model and customer structures. These changes are intended to improve clarity and transparency.
Summary of changes:
- Introduced a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to make our data protection terms easier to review and manage.
- Updated the terms to better reflect how academy trusts and multi academy trusts use Insight.
- Refreshed definitions and structure to make the terms clearer and easier to follow.
- Clarified customer and user responsibilities around accounts, access and uploaded content.
- Updated some commercial and operational wording so it better reflects our current subscription, support and renewal arrangements.
- Removed a small number of legacy clauses that were no longer being used in practice.
- Introduced a separate End User Licence Agreement (EULA) for individual users, to clearly set out user-level responsibilities alongside the organisation's Terms of Service.
